Prophetic Words

We welcome the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the bringing of prophetic words according to I Cor. 12. We ask that each individual prayerfully discern if a prophetic word is for them personally or for the congregation. If you believe it is for the congregation we ask that the word be brought to one of the pastors at the front row who will determine how it will best fit in with the flow of the service. You may also submit the word in writing to a pastor.

Expressions of Worship

The raising of hands, kneeling and bowing are all Biblical expressions of worship. We encourage such expressions of worship to whatever degree individuals are comfortable doing so and if it is appropriate to the theme of the worship.

Flags and banners are also a biblical expression of worship and are presented by our flag team. We welcome interested individuals to join the team.

Dancing is also welcomed in our services. There are dancers who will at times move through the aisles or across the front. Those who wish to dance may do so at their place or move to the back or side aisles.

Tambourines may occasionally be played by members of the worship team, but when played in the congregation, because of the acoustics of the sanctuary, they interfere with the worship team. Clapping to the rhythm is welcomed instead.

Children

Children bring a special quality of expression to worship. We encourage children to enter into worship with their families. Children will sometimes be invited to join the flag team or dancers in worship with streamers and flags.

Once a month during the Second service we have a special children's church called Children's Lighthouse Church where we teach children to express themselves to God in worship and to exercise the gifts of the Spirit. On these Sundays, the children are dismissed at the beginning of the 10:15 a.m. regular worship.

Altar Ministry

We have an Altar Ministry Team and Elders who are available to pray for specific needs such as physical healing, emotional healing, salvation, and freedom. Times of prayer are usually offered at the close of each service when an altar ministry person will come forward to pray with you. If prayer ministry was not offered in a service, please come forward after a service and request prayer from one of the Pastors or an Elder who will be very glad to join in faith.
