Haiti Report:
The Orphanage is still standing and providing water to thousands!

Hopewell Ministries

When the earthquake hit on January 12, 2010, our Haitian brothers and sisters in Christ were gathered for worship.  As the earth shook, they ran out of the building which sustained some damage and no one was hurt.  But many of them lost their homes and some neighbors were not so fortunate.

The recently completed orphanage became a gathering place for those seeking refuge.  People slept out on the ground to avoid having their houses collapse on them as the tremors continued for days.  Part of the perimeter wall of the compound is broken down.  But the well pump and the generator are working.  The spigots that you see here in an earlier picture are broken off from the collapsed wall, but the water still flows from the pipe each time the generator is run.

Funds are urgently needed to provide fuel for the generator and emergency food for the people.  Two of our pastors are traveling to Haiti to assess the damage.  And the process of rebuilding will begin...
